Double Braided Rope

Also known as Braid-on-Braid, is actually two braided ropes combined into one rope. A braided core is covered with a braided jacket to produce a strong, handsome, easy handling rope. This rope is splice-able and, in most instances, stronger than twisted rope of the same material and diameter.

Extra-Lene Rope

A composite rope built with a classic "poly-dac" (polyester over polypropylene) construction. Extra-Lene® is engineered to balance the elongation characteristics of both fiber types. The rope features the superior wear characteristics of an all polyester rope with an economic, lightweight core.

Hollow Braided Rope

This rope is constructed of 8,12, or 16 strands with a hollow center. Recommended for industrial applications requiring firm knot holding and quick splicing.

Manila Rope

A natural fiber rope with less strength than synthetic ropes of equal diameter. Has very little stretch and will burn rather than melt under high friction. Must be handled and stored with care, as dampness will cause it to rot.

Nylon Rope

Among the strongest of rope fibers with great durability and flexibility. High elasticity allows absorption of shock without breaking. Nylon rope is resistant to gasoline, oil, grease, many chemicals, rot, mildew and marine growth. It has excellent internal and ultraviolet (UV) resistance and does not float.

Polyester Rope

Polyester has somewhat lower strength to weight ratio than nylon with good shock absorption qualities and less elasticity. Polyester has low stretch with no shrinkage, does not absorb water and does not float. It resists UV rays, most mineral acids, petroleum products organic damage and can be stored when wet.

Polylite Rope

A 100% monofilament polypropylene twisted rope. Filament for this rope is extruded from virgin poly resins. This rope is engineered in an economy weight for non-critical industrial applications (slightly undersized).

Polypropylene Rope

A good general purpose fiber. Light weight, medium stretch with no water absorption. The fibers, monofilament or multifilament, are highly resistant to solvents, acids, alkalis and nearly impervious to organic damage. Polypropylene may be stored without damage when wet. It is the most economical synthetic fiber that floats and offers good dielectric properties.

Poly-DAC

The best properties of two comparable fibers create a very high strength, light weight and competitively priced rope. Polypropylene provides a high strength, light weight core while the polyester cover yarns provides excellent resistance to abrasion and UV degradation which extends the service life of the rope. Poly-DAC ropes are not subject to deterioration by petroleum products and most chemicals. It will not rot or mildew and 2" (51 mm) diameter and larger ropes will float.

SuperPro® Rope

A premium quality high tenacity blend of polypropylene and high modulus polyethylene resins. Superior strength to weight ratio and more abrasion resistant than standard polypropylene. It retains full strength when wet, floats and may be stored when wet without damage from rot or mildew. SuperPro® is resistant to acids, petroleum products and most chemicals.

Super-Haul® Rope

A standard in the commercial fishing industry. A composite yarn construction of polyester veneered over a polypropylene yarn core. Excellent handling and superior abrasion resistance. Will sink. Firm strands and medium lay.

Twisted Rope

Also known as Laid Rope. Just about all laid rope is 3-strand construction. It is splice-able and is available in virtually every type of rope fiber. This is the most common rope construction for general purpose use.
