It is our intent to keep these "small mesh" gill nets in stock. The webbing is normally hung on a 1/3 basis, using 1/4" poly rope with 20 lbs of on-the-line leads per 100yds The floats are on-the-line type and placed so that these nets "sink" to the bottom.
Mesh Sizes: 1-1/4" (2-1/2" stretched), 1-3/8" (2-3/4" stretched), or 1-7/16" (2-7/8" stretched), 1-1/2" (3" stretched), 1-9/16" (3-1/8" stretched), 1-5/8" (3-1/4") are available in #177 or #139 webbing

These trawls are of 6, 7, or 9 twine of poly or nylon an dare hung on poly rope. Brown shrimp trawls are usually made using a two-seam construction. White shrimp trawls will usually utilize a "mongoose" pattern and require a center tow line. Trawl Only is a complete trawl including tailbag with fish excluder (NC requirement) and has floats and chains. A Complete Trawl includes all the Trawl Only components plus poly tow lines, tickler chain, trawl doors, and a recreational fisherman's pink float for the tailbag (if applicable) - everything you need to hook up to your boat..
